General info
NC State Extension creates prosperity for all North Carolinians, helping our state’s citizens translate research from NC State into practical applications and solutions through educational programs and partnerships focused on agriculture, food and nutrition, and 4-H youth development.

With Extension professionals in all 100 counties and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, NC State Extension is the largest non-formal educational outreach unit in the 17-campus UNC system.

NC State Extension also works in tandem with The Cooperative Extension Program at N.C. A&T State University, as well as federal, state and local governments, to form a strategic partnership called N.C. Cooperative Extension.
